G Rico’s NFL Playoffs 2011 Contest

HOME

Congrats to Karen R. for scoring the most points in this contest and winning the 1st place prize! Karen had a cumulative total score of 2,660 points (out of a possible 4,000 points). Tory F. finished in 2nd place with a score of 2,490 points, while Andria C. placed 3rd with 2,270 points. Andria began this contest in 43rd place after Week 1, so she proved that it is definitely possible to make a big comeback in this contest!

Only nine contestants correctly guessed both the winning Super Bowl team and margin of victory, as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by six points. All the correct answers to this week’s questions have been posted on the Contestants page, while the final rankings can be found on the Leaderboard page.

The Top 3 contestants will receive their Amazon gift cards one week from today -- this will allow a few days for anyone who wants to double-check the accuracy of the final Leaderboard. If you find an error in your total score or in any of the final rankings or answers, please let me know before Tuesday, February 15.

I hope you’ve had fun with this contest, and I hope it made watching football more enjoyable. I’ll be doing the contest again next year, and since 89% of you are willing to pay an entry fee of $5 in order to increase the prize amounts, it looks like the 2012 NFL playoffs can’t arrive soon enough. ‘Til then, thanks for playing!
